About Bill

Asm floor shotAssemblyman Bill Brough was elected to the California State Assembly on November 4, 2014. 

Mr. Brough serves as the Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Business and Professions and Vice Chair of the Committee on Revenue and Taxation. 

He also sits on the Assembly Committee on Appropriations; Public Employee Retirement System; Rules; and the Select Committee on Ports. 

Mr. Brough is the founder and Co-Chair of the California Legislative Irish Caucus, a 501c7 created to foster the cultural, political and economic ties between California and Ireland.


Previously, he served on the Dana Point City Council from 2010-14 and operated a government affairs consulting firm from 2005-14.  Bill has served in a variety of capacities including as the White House Liaison at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. in the Bush Administration and as a Congressional Aide to former Congressman Chris Cox.

 After high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Army, serving four years on active duty and graduated from the University of Connecticut.

Bill and his wife live in Dana Point, California with their two children.
